Title: Cover cap for the assembly of dividable zippers
The invention relates to a closure cap for the assembly of zippers.
In the case of divisible zippers, the end piece of a zipper, also referred to as a closure cap, is shaped such that one half of the zipper is fixed and that the other half of the zipper is pulled out.
The invention is based on the object of providing a closure cap which can be manufactured as a nozzle at low cost and which is simply formed for mounting with the bead closure and which is reliable in terms of operation.
This specification is met by an embodiment according to patent claim 1. Further developments form the subject of the sub-claims.
This closing cap can be manufactured inexpensively. The closing cap can be easily attached to the zipper and can be reliably fixed by pressing the support plate and pressure plate on the zipper. The fixability is achieved in that the closure cap encloses the zipper-closing parts in such a one-sided manner that dividing the zipper is nevertheless possible.
US 2009/0165266 A1 patent document describes an end stopper for both ends of a zipper. The one end stopper, when closing the zipper, prevents unintentional pulling of the slider from the zipper members. Another end stopper connects the two zip fasteners at the other end of the zipper. The end stopper is firmly pressed together after inserting the inner edges of the zip fasteners. Thus, the zip fasteners at the other end of the zip are inextricably linked to each other, so that the zip cannot be shared by the user.
Further advantages of the invention are apparent from the subclaims.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing. There are shown:

Figure 1 shows the division of a zipper 1, with the belt sides 1a, 1b and the zipper spiral 2 of a long zipper tape (dotted) that can be unwound from a roll, for example. The part-cut is thereby designed in such a way that a transverse cutting edge 3 is created and at the same time the zipper spiral 2 is punched through a longitudinal segment 2a in the middle, so that afterwards a longitudinal cut-through 4 is formed in the zipper spiral 2. On both sides of the longitudinal section breakthrough 4, the parts of the zipper spiral 2 which are now divided remain in the unchanged position in the band sides 1a and 1b.
According to figures 2a and 2b, the closing cap 5 has a support plate 6 with a support surface 10 and a pressure plate 7 with a pressure surface 7a, which are tiltably connected to each other with a film hinge 8. The support plate 6 has a two-part stop edge 9, which projects upwards opposite the two-piece support surface 10 of the support plate 6 with the thickness of the belt sides 1a, 1b of the zipper 1. A central body 12 is formed on the center line of the bearing plate 6, which extends upwards from the bearing plate at the same height as the stop edge 9. Provided on one side of the center body 12 is a form-fitting recess 13 recessed in the support plate, which recess is open towards the free end of the support plate. The outer inner edge of the cover closure recess 13 has a row 14 of round recesses in the form of the laterally projecting curves of the zipper spiral 2. The middle body 12 has a row of rectangular recesses 15 on the side facing the recess 13 for receiving the zipper-spiral part 4a protruding in the longitudinal section 2a (Fig. 3). A recess 16 is formed on the other side of the center body 12, which has smooth side walls and is open at the free end of the support plate.
A closing pin 17 protrudes upwards from the pressure plate 7. This closing pin rests when the pressure plate 7 is tilted and pressed into a recess 18 in the bearing plate 6 at the free end of the bearing plate 6, whereby the two plates are locked together. Figures 4a and 4b show the closing cap 5 in the closed state. The closing pin 17 is thereby inserted into the locking recess 18.
Figure 3 shows how the zipper with the longitudinal section breakthrough 4 is laid on the support plate 6 of the still-open closure cap 5. The two-part cutting edge 3 is thereby abutting the two-part stop edge 9 of the support plate 6 and the closing pin 17 is at the end of the breakthrough slot 4 of the zipper upwards. The pressure plate is then tilted over the bearing plate, the closing pin 17 resting in the locking recess 18 of the bearing plate. The remaining spiral remnants of the band side 1a then lie form-locked in the form-closing recess 13, and the remaining or removed spiral remnants of the band side 1b lie non-form-locked in the longitudinal direction in the recess 16. When the zipper is displaced by the slider (not shown) until the closing pin 17 of the closing cap is slid in, the zipper can be divided by pulling the belt side 1b in the longitudinal direction out of the smooth recess 16. The belt side 1a of the zipper thereby remains locked unchanged in the closure cap 5 as a result of the form closure present in the form-closure recess 13.

Claims (7)

A closure cap for the assembly of divisible zippers, characterized in that a support plate (6) is provided for the end of a zipper (1) to be superimposed thereon, the end being previously cut open in the longitudinal direction in the zipper spiral, and is provided with a corresponding pressure plate (7) with a pressure surface (7a), and that a central body (12) is provided on the center longitudinal line of the support plate (6) for insertion into the longitudinal cut-through (4) of the zipper, and that the support plate (6) is provided on one side next to the center body (12) with a form-fitting recess (13) for a form-fitting receiving of the inner edge of a band side (1a) of the longitudinal section of the zipper and a recess (16) is provided on the other side adjacent the center body for non-form-fitting receiving of the inner edge of the other band side (1b) of the longitudinal-cut end of the zipper, and that both recesses are open to n the end that faces the zipper.

A closure cap according to claim 2, characterized in that the outer inner edge of the form closure recess (13) reproduces the external shape of the remaining protruding round spiral edges of the zipper spiral (2) on the belt side (1b) of the zipper (1), and that the opposite non-form-closed recess (16) for the other belt side (1a) of the zipper is smooth and rectangular shaped.

A closure cap according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the side faces of the central body (12) facing the form-fitting recess (13) have recesses (15) for receiving the remaining inner spiral remnants of the zipper spiral (2).

A closure cap according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support plate (6) has an abutment edge (9) for the cutting edge (3) of the transversely cut end of the zipper closure (1) which emerges from the pressure plate by approximately the thickness of the zip fastener protrudes upwards and that the surface of the middle body (12) protrudes upwards with the same height.

Cover cap according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pressure plate (7) has at least one closing pin (17) protruding from the pressure surface (7a), which pin is intended for a locking recess (18) in the support plate.

Sealing cap according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support plate (6) and the pressure plate (7) are tiltably connected to each other.

The closure cap according to claim 6, characterized in that the support plate (6) and the pressure plate (7) are connected to each other with a film hinge (8).
